While in the process of SEO for your website and online business you will probably find out that there are many techniques and methods that developed search engines consider as unacceptable and many sites not only lose a good ranking but get banned and flagged when using some of those. There are also some regular methods followed within an SEO process that can lead to banning or at least lower ranking, if not used correctly.

Consider what fonts and colors you are using for your website. You already know that all major search engines consider the ‘same color font-same color background’ as a naughty technique as it is mostly used by webmasters who either want to hide some parts of the content or are up to some tricks. Style and colors in vogue is not something that search engines consider when ranking web pages so probably you should not consider it yourself either. Same applies to color combinations. If you have a blue webpage and use a white table with blue fonts, just because you like the color effect on screen, then you will be flagged, because the web crawlers will see a blue font on a blue background. It is a common mistake that many beginners make.

Avoid overcrowding your website with too much graphic and multimedia. First of all if not well appointed your website will look like a circus and will baffle the average visitor and second it is completely useless for the crawlers, as they are programmed to read and recognize text and text only. Rich content is what you really need and you should work diligently on this. Of course you need to include some graphics also so as to make the site look better and appealing – just do not overdo it.

Unintentional over optimization of a website is also a point to consider. Usually the search engines appreciate a comprehensive usage and density of keywords and meta tag elements, which means that you need to keep some natural flow in the text and make it both readable and understandable. You will not achieve anything if you overdo it. On the contrary you may be considered as spam and thus lose your ranking. If you feel you are over doing it, try to ‘de-optimize’ your website a little. Monitoring and updating your website is something you should do anyway so as to avoid and correct the mistakes when needed.

SEO stands for search engine optimization and is a way by which a page is altered or maintained keeping the search engines in mind. This means that the page is attempted to be designed in a manner which can prove helpful in displaying the site in the early search results when relevant information is searched for by a user.

There can be various advantages in keeping the page on the top search results. When a user searches for some information, they may not decide to browse through a lot of search results. But if the user can find the relevant link in the first few results then they may not think of going further to look for other links. They would be more likely to open the link found first and browse through the information from there. The point of the discussion being that, having the page displayed early has its advantages if relevant search is initiated by a user. This can be very helpful for people whose websites are more than just a way of sharing information. There are websites that conduct business online and the major parts of the sales are made through the internet. If their page is not accessible and is shadowed by a host of others, they are not likely to benefit from their online existence. Worse, they may even lose existing customers.

SEO training is a training program that is used to train people in techniques and ways by which a page can be optimized for a specific search engine. Different search engines have different ways which they use to judge the importance of a page. One of the ways used is the traffic density on the page and if more people visit a page, then the ranking of the will go up and they would be visible among the top few search results.

Other than that, there are also different techniques used. SEO training aims at training the interested people so that they may apply their skills on websites and make their ranking better. A trained person may specialize in optimization for a specific search engine because different search engines employ different methods to determine the importance of a website. So a person may choose to either master his techniques on one particular search engine or if he is truly passionate about SEO as a whole , may gain knowledge about the working of various other search engines that are also slowly gaining a foothold in the industry.

A number of individuals and businesses rely on professionals to help them better their websites. Only when a person is trained and qualified will he be able to deliver the kind of results that are expected.

Keyword internet marketing strategy is something you need to understand very well before you begin your online business. Everything online is geared to getting as much traffic as you can and to do that you need to know which keywords your would be customers are searching for and target those keywords.

Sounds simple enough, doesn’t it? And, in reality, it’s not rocket science but before you jump in to the deep end you need to understand that more goes into good keyword research than just finding out which keywords your customers are using.

For example, let’s say you have a website that sells baby strollers. You would assume that anyone interested in buying a baby stroller would use keywords like “baby stroller” “cheap baby stroller”, “baby stroller sales”, “baby stroller on sale”, etc.

But do you have any idea how many people search for those terms? Do you know how many other competitors are trying to get their websites to rank for those terms (how competitive they are)? Do you know what other terms people may be searching for?

In order to make the most out of your keyword internet marketing strategy you need a full picture, not just an “idea” of what keywords will work and which ones won’t.

Targeting a keyword that gets 100,000 searches a month sounds like a sound strategy and a great way to make huge money. But, not so fast, if it were that easy everyone online would be a millionaire.

The problem is that the keywords that get hundreds of thousands of monthly searches also have a ton of competition. All of these other websites are fighting over that one little keyword crumb. Many of these sites have full time staffs dedicated to optimizing their website so they can rank well for that keyword. Most beginners and small online business owners simply can’t compete.

Not to worry, though, there are many other very viable strategies to follow. The simplest one is to find longer keyword phrases (longtailed keywords) and target those instead.

It’s true, they may only get a few thousand searches a month but they will also have far less competition. And, you can target as many of these long tailed keywords as you want.

So, why fight over the scraps when you can target a dozen or so long tailed keywords that are all getting a 1,000 searches a month? By using this strategy you could very realistically get about 12,000 visitors a month to your website! Not too shabby. Let the big boys fight over the other keywords while you just quietly go about your business.

Ultimately, your online business will live or die by the quantity and quality of the website visitors you get to your site. No matter what method you use to get those visitors, you will need a solid keyword internet marketing strategy. I hope I’ve shown you that trying to go after the highly competitive keywords is more work and most likely won’t net you much reward.

One thing that many internet marketers (or any business that goes online to build business) tend to forget in their campaigns is Anchor Text backlinks. First of all, building backlinks to your website is extremely important, but if you are not doing it correctly, you can really hurt yourself in the long run. Second, when you are building backlinks, you need to make sure that you are using anchor text (text that is relevant to the content on your site). Doing this correctly will not only show the top search engines that your site is important, but it will also show them just what your site is all about and what keywords they should rank your site for (does that make sense???).

So many people will write amazing content to submit to all of the article directories and web 2.0 sites. They will do their keyword research. They will have the proper keyword density in their content. They will write relevant articles that will make people really want to go to their site to continue reading. Bad news is that 75% of these people will then put something in their author bio like this:

“For More Information on how to correctly choose the best wedding planner for your upcoming wedding, click here!

WRONG! Now, when Google is out crawling all of these article directories, it will see the words “click here” and think that that word or phrase is relevant to your website! Really, what the hell does “click here” have to do with your website? Absolutely NOTHING! You are hurting yourself. If someone goes into google to look for a wedding planner, do you really think they are going to type “click here” and hope to find the best wedding planner? What the most common bride to be is going to type into google is: best wedding planner in Dallas, or cheapest wedding planners in the Dallas area or something like that. How about you create a bio box like this:

If you would like to speak to the best wedding planner in Dallas, please contact Kaye at Dallas Platinum Weddings. She can show you what she can do to make your wedding ideas become a dream come true!

Not only does this sound more appealing, but the more articles that you have out there with this type of anchor text, the higher google will rank you for this keyword or phrase. This is how you are going to start building business!

In the next post, I will share with you the ways that I go about getting one way anchor text backlinks. I will show you where to go, how to do it, and how some can and will be more important than others!

If you like this article or found it helpful, please feel free to retweet it or share it with your friends~

Is ezine articles awesome, or is it a pain in the ass?

I guess it depends on what you are using them for. I started out building Squidoo lenses and free blogs so that I could send them traffic from my articles. In my honest opinion, this makes ezine articles a pain in the ass.

BUT, If you are looking for high quality backlinks to your site, ezine articles is awesome.

Do you use ezine articles? Why? Is it worth it? Are you getting the results that you desire?

Let me know what you think. I have noticed that hubpages has been ranking higher than ezine articles lately.

Your career is suffering from not using time management aggressively to manage stress. You are missing promotions and raises, because you are spending your time defending against stress instead of attacking it. This pain is caused by using time management basically the wrong way. Too many time management in the workplace seminars teach you to just make To Do lists and then prioritize them. A proper time management system will not only prioritize your tasks, but allow you to defend your To Do list against interruptions and crises, since those are a huge source of stress. Nothing you have been doing can alleviate this pain. This is why you have been passed over for promotions and raises.

Using time management within a complete stress management system can really make you stand out at work. The type of leadership that is being looked for today is the type of leadership that prevents problems. Using time management to prevent workplace anxiety instead of just reacting to it keeps the workplace running smoothly. You can learn a new way to manage your time and your tasks, to prevent stress. And when you prevent stress, you are spending more time finding the opportunities in stressful situations.

Here are 5 ways to use time management to turn stress into opportunities.

Recognize that time management is really self-discipline. Time flows forward, no matter what you do. Time management is really disciplining yourself to stay on task and to be able to resist interruptions and temptations. Embrace the Pareto Principle. This principle says that 80% of your results will come from 20% of your efforts (or time or customers or any number of variations). So constantly review your work, to focus on the 20% that gives you the 80%. Use the SMART method of goal setting: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Tangible. This keeps your efforts focused. Use the TF30 method to prioritize your schedule. Tasks that must be done Today, tasks that must be done by Friday, and tasks that must be done within the next 30 days. This method will easily allow you to reject distractions that are less important than whatever you are working on. Delegate properly. Pick the proper person, and explain clearly what is to be done. Set a date certain to be completed, and set periodic review dates to monitor the progress.

If you don’t use aggressive time management, your being passed over for promotions and raises will get worse. Without a time management system that removes stress, your time will continue to be chewed up by fighting stress. This means that the bad health effects of stress will be magnified by the bad emotional effects of stress. You think it will be painful to change your time management system. It will be much more painful not to.

You have seen how time management is an integral part of a comprehensive stress management system. But many times, your time management system becomes a source of stress instead of part of what to do to relieve stress. This is because most time management systems do not allow you enough time to handle your tasks and any interruptions. That’s like planning to travel by plane in winter, but not considering that flights might be delayed from snow or ice. Using a comprehensive stress management system which includes time management throughout will eliminate missing promotions and give you more recognition at work.

The good news is that not only can you use this sinformation in whatever j.o.b. you have, you can also use these proven techniques to help you with your internet marketing endeavours. I hope that you find this useful.

If you know someone that could benefit from reading this, please send them to this post. Dont forget to retweet it if you like it!

Website Flipping has emerged as one of the most lucrative businesses on the internet today. There is no doubt that website flipping, if done professionally, can result in unimaginable profits with very little or no investment. There are primarily two ways of entering into the exciting business of website flipping:

1) Creating one’s own websites: creating one’s own website can save one from any investments as one can create a great website with quality content, purchase an impressive domain name, monetize the flip website to a required level and then find a suitable buyer for it on one of the popular auction sites.

2) Purchase an existing website and renovate it: It is an easier and faster way of entering the business; however it does require some investment.

Some important steps involved in making money through website flipping are as follows:

1) Acquiring a good domain name: A domain name which is short and sweet, and at the same time reflects the gist of the content of the website can take any business a long way. Hence, acquiring a good domain name plays a very important part increasing the value of your flip website

2) Create or find a template: The next important step is to create or find a suitable template which goes well with the determined niche. One also needs to have basic HTML skills to ensure that all the other pages are linked to the home page. Adding free Photoshop templates to the flip websites will give the website a very professional look, increasing the value of the websites considerably.

3) Monetize your flip website: Monetizing a flip website will ensure that your flip website attracts high paying buyers. Potential buyers seriously look for monetized sites as it saves them considerable time and energy. They just have to start the promotion of the website through affiliate links. While monetizing your site, it is highly recommended that you consider products only from Clickbank and Adsense. Unlike other sites, these two sites are very liberal, and hence the buyer will not face any problems in the future.

4) Sell your flip website: Before selling your flip website, ensure that you covered all the necessary steps like increasing the traffic and the sales. One should also try to improve the ranking of the website on search engines; as such websites are sold for a higher price. Once you are sure that everything is perfect, you can sell the flip website on sites like E-Bay, Digital Point or Sitepoint.

If you are wanting to get started doing this right away with little money out of pocket, check out this guide called “Easy Website Flipping.”

I hope that this answers any questions that you might have about website flipping. I plan on giving more information about this in the future because I have been doing this lately, and I am really starting to see just how amazing this stuff really is.

Having a list building technique is synonymous with success for any website or internet based business. List building is used to collect information from visitors so that future contact can be made. In some cases the individual or business may want to send a newsletter or some other follow up type correspondence. By having this contact information the company can send marketing attempts to try and generate further revenue. This comes in especially handy when traffic is down or sales are following a flat line pattern.

There are a number of ways to collect contact information for websites. There are squeeze pages, sign up pages and other techniques that fall under the list building campaigns. For more details www.mailing-list-gold.com Some sites come right out and ask for the visitors email, physical address or other personal contact information, while others attempt to gain the information a little more sneaky. Most advertising advocates boast that whichever method works is the one that should be used! If a squeeze page is used, then it should be very specific and work appropriately.

Any list building technique should work and have at least half of the visitors leaving their information. If half are not leaving their information, the site owner should consider employing a different technique. Testing and tracking the results of any type of marketing is always suggested to ensure that it works appropriately and is worth the money spent. If the program is failing it should be removed at once and replaced with a more effective list building strategy.

How Do I Build My List in Under 30 Days?

List building is something that does not happen overnight, however with a few solid marketing methods and some hard work you can have a big list in just 30 days. One of the most common questions I get asked is how do I build my list? Many people are aware that they need to build a responsive list, but just do not know how to do it quickly.

To build a list of buyers you have to market to the correct crowd. I have two main marketing methods that I use which bring me consistent, targeted traffic which I can turn into buyers.

My first tip for list building is article marketing. Whether you like it or not, nothing builds a targeted list quite like article marketing. See most people think that you have to write a great among of articles to build a list, which is just not true. For more details www.build-own-list.com I have had several of my articles get me tons of traffic! If you write 20 well researched articles each month in a niche that is not overcrowded you can build a list of buyers fast.

The other method I use is Google AdWords. Adwords is great for building a list, because you can test a page instantly to see if it is going to bring you profits long term. When people ask how do I build, I always tell them to use Google AdWords as a part of your campaign.

List building is crucial, but it is also important that you stay in touch with your list in order to build a responsive list of buyers. If you are building but not providing value to your list of customers then you need to start trying to build better relationships with your list.

I hope that you are abe to use this information to get your list growing.

Let me know if you have any questions! I really want to hear from you!

Okay…

If you do any internet marketing at all, there is a good chance that you have had to build a website. When you decide to build a website, there are a lot of things that you will have to research and consider before you even get started.

You have to decide what your site is going to be about. You will have to decided where you will host your site. You will have to decide whether you are going to build a blog or if you are going to go for a more traditional style website. And most importantly, you will have to choose a domain name.

There are some things that you should try to accomplish with your domain name, but there are also some things that you should try to avoid when creating said domain.

I usually start with a little keyword research. I try to find keywords that are getting searched a lot that do not have millions of competitors. I usually like to start out with about ten strong keywords. From here, I usually go to namecheap.com to see if any of these keywords are available with a dot com. Most of the time, you will have to get a little creative, but this is usually pretty fun for me!

Here are some things that I like to try to accomplish:
1. My domain had to do with what the site is about.
2. I try to make it as short as possible while still making sense.
3. I want the domain name to be easy to remember.
4. If a dot com is not available, I move on.

Here are some things that I try to avoid:
1. I avoid hyphens and numbers. If I tell someone my website and then I have to explain that there are hyphens or that it is the word two and not the number two then I will avoid it!
2. I avoid using hard to spell words.
3. Make sure to avoid copyright infringement.

I know that there is a lot more to look for and to avoid. This is just a quick listing to get you started on the right track.

What methods do you use to come up with a domain name? How much research do you put into this process? Let me know because I am curious to know what methods other are using!

I look forward to hearing what you have to say. Please feel free to comment or re-tweet this to any of your friends that might be having trouble coming up with a new domain name!
