One thing that many internet marketers (or any business that goes online to build business) tend to forget in their campaigns is Anchor Text backlinks. First of all, building backlinks to your website is extremely important, but if you are not doing it correctly, you can really hurt yourself in the long run. Second, when you are building backlinks, you need to make sure that you are using anchor text (text that is relevant to the content on your site). Doing this correctly will not only show the top search engines that your site is important, but it will also show them just what your site is all about and what keywords they should rank your site for (does that make sense???).

So many people will write amazing content to submit to all of the article directories and web 2.0 sites. They will do their keyword research. They will have the proper keyword density in their content. They will write relevant articles that will make people really want to go to their site to continue reading. Bad news is that 75% of these people will then put something in their author bio like this:

“For More Information on how to correctly choose the best wedding planner for your upcoming wedding, click here!

WRONG! Now, when Google is out crawling all of these article directories, it will see the words “click here” and think that that word or phrase is relevant to your website! Really, what the hell does “click here” have to do with your website? Absolutely NOTHING! You are hurting yourself. If someone goes into google to look for a wedding planner, do you really think they are going to type “click here” and hope to find the best wedding planner? What the most common bride to be is going to type into google is: best wedding planner in Dallas, or cheapest wedding planners in the Dallas area or something like that. How about you create a bio box like this:

If you would like to speak to the best wedding planner in Dallas, please contact Kaye at Dallas Platinum Weddings. She can show you what she can do to make your wedding ideas become a dream come true!

Not only does this sound more appealing, but the more articles that you have out there with this type of anchor text, the higher google will rank you for this keyword or phrase. This is how you are going to start building business!

In the next post, I will share with you the ways that I go about getting one way anchor text backlinks. I will show you where to go, how to do it, and how some can and will be more important than others!

If you like this article or found it helpful, please feel free to retweet it or share it with your friends~

Good Evening Everyone!

I know that it has been a while, but I have been so busy!

My wife is just over a month away from giving birth to our first baby! I was recently promoted, so I am working a little bit more in my real job. I have been building, developing, and marketing about 15 affiliate websites (which brings me to the reason of this post).

I have decided to focus all of my efforts on about 5 sites that I have a lot of interest in, and I have decided to put the rest of them (good, but no interest) up for sale. I thought about using flippa.com, but I thought that I would start here. I will be taking bids through responses. All of the sites have a starting bid of $50, and I have a reserve that I will not go below. If you are interested in any of these sites, please reply to the post with a bid, or you can send me a private email at chris@askchrisjensen.com.

I have so many people that are here on a daily basis that I would like to offer these sites to before I try to sell them on Flippa. All of the sites listed were built using Wordpress with the custom and premium Thesis theme. They all have different forms of monetization ranging from CPA to CJ affiliate program to Ebay Partnet Network to Google Adsense to Clickbank products to Amazon products.

Some of them have opt ins with follow up messages. Some of them are getting traffic (even though I have not done anything except basic SEO and some social bookmarking).

Here is the list. If you have any questions about any of them, please let me know. I will be more than happy to get the sites over to your hosting company. I will only be accepting Paypal. If you do not know if you can get accepted into the programs that are being promoted, please do not try to buy until you get accepted (I have ads from Maxbounty’s CPA program and Ebay Partner Network). There is one site that was built for the sole purpose of Wealthy Affiliate. You cannot promote Wealthy Affiliate if you are not a member, so if you are not a member, please do not try to get mrwealthyaffiliate dot com.

http://winbackyourtruelove.com

Please check out the sites and let me know what you think. I would be more than happy to change anything about any of the sites to make them more appealing to you. If you are interested in traffic and statistical information about any of the sites, just let me know.

If you know anyone that might be interested in any of these sites, please let them know!

Feel free to comment, share, and re-tweet for all of your friends!

SEO organic methods take more work from the individual, but is a safer and, in the end, more effective way to optimize a web site for search engines. In a way, Organic SEO helps to keep Internet “pollution” to a minimum, so you’re also helping the virtual environment! In the following paragraphs, you’ll find a few easy ways to use this type of search engine optimization.

You’re no doubt familiar with the basic concepts of search engine optimization, but are you familiar with SEO organic methods? While search engine optimization is a very important aspect to any online business’ marketing plan, it’s become increasingly standardized and mechanized. Many SEO services and applications simply use the same basic plan to enhance a web site’s search engine rankings.

This has led to a lot of marketers using nasty search engine optimization methods to get results. These types of methods can be great for generating traffic, but in the end they make the Internet an uglier place. These methods, known as “Black Hat” SEO methods, are just a bad idea. Not only do they frustrate potential users of your web site, they may not even work forever…

You see, Google and other search engines are constantly looking for ways to defeat Black Hat SEO techniques. If their efforts are successful – and really it’s just a matter of time before they are – your time and money may be wasted. Why spend money on search engine optimization that could be useless in just a few months? Worse yet, search engines aren’t just knocking these sorts of sites down in rank; they’re totally removing them from search results.

Some of these Black Hat methods include using cheap labor or robots to perform a number of tasks. For instance, sometimes these services will sign up to tons of forums and or social networking sites and simply spam the link to a site everywhere possible. This is a definite annoyance for many webmasters, who end up with sites cluttered in meaningless links.

Link farms are another common type of Black Hat SEO. These sites are knockoffs are legit online directories, and are packed with links, many of which lead to very poor web sites. Some of them just link back and forth between each other and the link site, causing users to get lost in a sea of useless information. SEO organic techniques can be a great alternative to some of these Black Hat search engine optimization plans.

The main thing that people associate with web sites is their domain names. Domain names that feature the keywords that your website is targeting are a great start to organic SEO. Another, related, search engine optimization idea is to customize your web site’s title the same way: feature the keywords that your site targets. Both of these elements are factors that search engines use to rank a site.

There are many more ways to optimize a site with an SEO organic plan, but these tips should get you started.

Today I have decided to put together a little search engine optimization tutorial for you. Please keep in mind that there are well over 200 SEO factors that Google uses to rank pages in the Google search results. So, now you ask, what are the search engine optimization rules? I believe that there are many educated guesses by SEO webmasters on many of the top forums. If you would like to achieve a high ranking, I have taken the top 5 positive and negative confirmed Google Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Rules.

Top 5 Positive Rules (things to do)

1. Have your main target keyword in the URL

2. Have your main target keyword in your domain name

3. Have your main target keyword in your title tag

4. Have your main target keyword in H1, H2, and H3

5. Freshness of content, freshness of pages, amount of content change, and freshness of links to high-trust sites

Top 5 Negative Rules (things to avoid)

1. Do not have text presented in graphics form only with no actual body text on the page.

2. Avoid building a cookie cutter affiliate site with massive inter-linking ad little actual on page content.

3. Avoid keyword stuffing and meta-tag stuffing.

4. Do not link to bad neighborhoods (Google hates link farms and Free For All’s)

5. Don’t immediately send your visitor to another page other than the one he/ she clicked on, using meta refresh.

Whether you like it or not, Google has a lot to do with what happens to the websites that you spend so much time on. There are things that they love, and there are things that will force them to rest in the big old online graveyard. Try to incorporate these ideas into your next project, and you will be on your way to making it into the good graces of Google!

If you have any questions or comments about this search engine optimization tutorial, please let me know! I look forward to hearing from you!

Go Hard or Go Home!
